Dr. Aneil Bhalla

MD

Dr. Aneil Bhalla, MD, is a native of Ottawa, Ontario.  He received his bachelor's degree from the University of Hartford in West Hartford, Connecticut where he was recruited to play tennis on a Division I National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) athletic scholarship. 

During his NCAA tennis career in the United States, while serving as the number 1 singles and doubles player and team captain, he received numerous awards, including being selected to the America East All-Conference Singles Team and America East All-Academic Team. He was also recognized as an Intercollegiate Tennis Association Scholar-Athlete and was the recipient of the S. Edward Weinswig Outstanding Scholar-Athlete Award during his senior year.

Dr. Bhalla obtained his medical degree through St. George's University's Keith B. Taylor Global Scholars Program at Northumbria University in the United Kingdom.

He then completed his internal medicine residency at Yale University School of Medicine where he also completed a chief residency. He subsequently completed his cardiology fellowship at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center.

Dr. Bhalla holds multiple board certifications within the field of cardiology, including being board-certified in Cardiovascular Disease by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM), Adult Echocardiography by the National Board of Echocardiography (NBE), Nuclear Cardiology by the Certification Board of Nuclear Cardiology (CBNC), and Cardiovascular Computed Tomography by the Certification Board of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography (CBCCT)
