Important virtual care update for PACE patients.
According to new OHIP guidelines, as of December 1, 2022, PACE Cardiology can only provide virtual care by video.
Unfortunately, telephone consults are no longer available under this new framework. Traditional in-person consultations remain unchanged and are still available.
Please review our important virtual care update information below and click here to view our Virtual Care Training Video for more information.
How to use PACE Virtual Care
As of December 1, 2022, virtual care by video can only be used by patients who meet the following criteria:
- Your PACE cardiologist had seen you in person within the last 2 years
- Your PACE cardiologist had seen you virtually within the last 2 years
- A new referral from your doctor or nurse practitioner has been sent to PACE
If you would like to be seen virtually, and don’t fall into one of the above categories, please ask your physician or nurse practitioner to send in a new referral to PACE on your behalf.
There is no need to download software or create an account. All you need is a browser on a computer or device such as a smartphone or a tablet with a camera and microphone.
Just before your appointment, you will receive an email (check your junk folder if you don’t see it) or a text message with a link to a virtual visit with your doctor. This message will include a PIN number, please write it down or copy it.
