Team Member

Dr. Berbenetz is a Staff Cardiologist and Cardiac Electrophysiologist at Southlake Health. He completed his medical degree at McMaster University, Internal Medicine residency at Western University, Cardiology residency at Queen’s University, and Electrophysiology fellowship at the Ottawa Heart Institute. He worked as a Cardiac Electrophysiologist at the Halifax Infirmary Hospital and Assistant Professor at Dalhousie University before joining Southlake Health.

He is a dedicated educator and enjoys teaching electrophysiology and procedural skills to medical students, residents, and fellows. His clinical expertise includes cardiac device implantation (pacemaker, ICD, CRT), laser lead extraction, and cardiac ablation procedures (including atrial fibrillation, SVT, atrial flutter, and ventricular tachycardia). He is committed to clinical research in advancing cardiac care.
